Preposterous (adjective)
[pri-pos-ter-uhs] / prɪˈpɒs tər əs/
Meaning: something that is extremely silly and unreasonable.
If someone came to you and said something extremely silly like “The earth is not round, it is flat.”
You can say, “That is preposterous.“
Imagine someone came to you and said, “In the future electric cars will be so cheap that you can buy a Tesla for $100.” You can say, “What ? that is preposterous.”
