Living under a rock
Meaning: to be unaware of things that most people know.
The idiom “living under a rock” is used when referring to someone who doesn’t know about an extremely popular thing.

Imagine, you said to your friend, “Wow, he danced like Michael Jackson” and your friend replied,
“Who is Michael Jackson?”
You can say, “What? have you been living under a rock ?”
Imagine if someone came to you and said, “Why is everyone wearing masks, what is Covid-19?”,
