On the bright side
Meaning: a good thing in a bad situation.
In a bad situation, if there is a good part, we can refer to it using the the idiom On the bright side.

Imagine that there has been an accident and the car was completely damaged. But, no one was injured.
A car accident is a bad situation but the good part is that nobody was injured.
You can say, “There has been an accident but on the bright side, no one was injured”
More examples:
- John lost his job yesterday, but on the bright side, the company paid him a good amount as compensation.
- I broke my arm last week, but on the bright side, I got one month paid time off.
- I know your dog is sick right now, but try to look on the bright side. It can be easily treated with medicines.
