Noun 1: Beach bum
A Beach bum is a person who loves spending a lot of time at the beach. Beach bums love sitting at the beach, relaxing, and having a good time.
Even though there are not a lot of beaches nearby, John loves to drive up to the nearest beach, sit there for hours, read a book and enjoy himself. He even has plans to move permanently to Goa so that he can spend more time at the beach.

The music teacher was also shocked at Lily’s musical abilities. John immediately joined Lily in the music school and a couple of years later, Lily started composing her own songs and performing at concerts.
Lily is a prodigy.

Sachin took up cricket at the age of 11, he played his first test match at 16 and we all know what happened after that.

Marie says she loves animals and that is why she became a vegan. But she secretly eats chicken at home because she loves chicken and she still tells everyone that she is a vegan.
That is Marie’s hypocrisy and she is a hypocrite.

Public transport employees went on a strike today and people who commute to their offices are struggling to find transport. To take advantage of this situation, the taxi drivers doubled their prices.
The taxi drivers are opportunists.
During festivals, many people travel to their hometowns to see their families. To take advantage of this seasonal demand, the private bus services are charging as much as a flight ticket.
The owner of the bus service is an opportunist.

Marie is a new teacher at a high school. The students said that since she is new, they should first get to know each other by playing some games for the next 3 days and then start the lessons on the 4th day.
Marie knows that wasting 3 days is not ideal, but she is unable to say no and she agreed.

Michael is a very good-looking actor. He frequently flirts with his fellow actors, assistants, and make-up artists. He has short-term sexual relationships with many of them.

Being a butterfingers is considered a bad quality in sports, for obvious reasons.
John dropped a carton of eggs in the kitchen. He dropped and broke three ceramic cups last week. He frequently drops things that he is holding. His wife stopped buying ceramic cups and they use plastic cups now.

Emily met David at a bar recently and they started having a romantic relationship. David is a very rich man in his seventies and his wife died recently. Emily is a lot younger than David and actually, she does not like him at all. She is with David only because he is rich.
Emily is a gold digger.

Noun 9: Vandal
A Vandal is a person who intentionally damages the property of other people.
Sometimes when a protest becomes serious, we see people destroying public property like busses, stores, buildings etc… That is called vandalism and those people are vandals.
John went on a vacation for an entire month. When he returned, he was shocked to see what happened to his house. Some people broke the lock and entered his house, they threw trash everywhere, broke the windows and spray painted the walls. If they stole something they would become burglars, but they did not. They just damaged and destroyed the property.
Those guys vandalized John’s house. That damage is called vandalism and those guys are called vandals.

A Packrat is a person who keeps saving useless things.

John orders a lot of stuff on amazon. He saves every single delivery box and packaging material thinking that it will be useful in the future.
John is a packrat.
